Each batch of Coors Peak is tested to ensure the level of gluten proteins is below the FDA regulated 20ppm. However, Coors Peak historically tests below 5ppm, which is considered officially below the limit of quantitation.
Yes, other MillerCoors products are brewed at the same facility. However, we take great care to isolate production of Coors Peak to ensure it is 100% naturally gluten free. Additionally, the Gluten Intolerance Group (GIG) has certified the facility is capable of safely and successfully brewing Gluten Free products.
Coors Peak will only be available in and around the Portland and Seattle metro areas in 2016.
Unlike other gluten free options, Coors Peak isn’t brewed with malted barley and crafted to reduce or remove gluten. Coors Peak is brewed with American malted brown rice so it’s naturally free of gluten.
Testing is performed by our Internal MillerCoors Quality Lab throughout the brewing and packaging process. Every batch of final packaged beer is tested by a world-class 3rd party lab – FARRP Lab at the University of Nebraska.
Coors Peak Copper Lager is 4.7% ALC/VOL, and Coors Peak Golden Lager has 5.0% ALC/VOL.
